Selling Sunset has proven to be one of Netflix's most popular TV shows as the likes of Chrishell Stause, Emma Hernan and Mary Fitzgerald all make real estate look like one of the most glamorous jobs on the planet - so when can we expect season 8 to drop?

Following a hugely dramatic season 7 in November 2023, fans of the real-estate show are desperate to know what happens next after Chrishell and Nicole's epic fall out, whether Bre Tiesi returns for another season and what that new office will really bring to The Oppenheim Group.

That's also not to mention all the drama that's happened off-screen since then and now that we are desperate to catch up on.

Here's everything we know so far about another season of Selling Sunset season 8 from the release date, to latest news and the cast.

When is Selling Sunset season 8's release date?

Selling Sunset has been renewed for series eight, Netflix has confirmed, however, an actual release date hasn't been finalised yet.

Excited to film another season of the show, Jason Oppenheimer told The Hollywood Reporter last year that he was excited about the success of the show.

He told the publication: “For me, each season gets more and more fun. When we were doing season one, we were like, ‘If we can get to season three, we had a real show. Anything above that would be icing.’ We’ve been running on icing for years now.”

In 2023, fans were presented two seasons of the show with season 6 dropping on May 19th and season 7's start date on November 3rd. Both seasons were filmed pretty close together too.

So if we were to get a Selling Sunset series 8, we reckon May 2024 will be a safe bet on a start date.

Who is in the cast of Selling Sunset season 8?

As confirmed by Netflix, the majority of the cast of season 7 will be returning for another round. This includes:

  • Jason Oppenheim
  • Brett Oppenheim
  • Mary Fitzgerald
  • Chrishell Stause
  • Amanza Smith
  • Emma Hernan
  • Chelsea Lazkani
  • Nicole Young
  • Bre Tiesi

The real question is whether Heather Rae El Moussa will return after she was noticeably absent from the latest season.

She said she wasn't sure why she wasn't asked back to film that much but does appear in a few episodes. Davina Portratz is also featuring less.

Fans were also worried Mary wouldn't return for season 8 after she spoke about how difficult it was filming so soon after she suffered a miscarriage during season 7.

As she told E! News that she and her husband Romain Bonnet will "keep trying at some point" for a child, perhaps she will do this off camera.

Bre Tiesi is also on the 'maybe not' list for season 8 as she confirmed she's taken a step back from the show after an explosive clash with co-star Chelsea. Speaking to on the reunion show she said she's 'undecided' over whether to quit for good and wants to prioritise her one-year-old son in the meantime.

What's the latest news on Selling Sunset season 8?

A total of 11 new episodes dropped on Netflix for Selling Sunset season 7 which will give us a slight indication of what's to come in another season.

However, of course, there will be a big gap between filming and the latest show airing meaning storylines can change pretty epically.

Business wise, The Oppenheim Group has been doing a big expansion with offices now in Orange County and Cabo so we'll expect lots of cameos and competition from this perspective.

Elsewhere for the cast, Chelsea has recently confirmed she's getting a divorce, a topic sure to be discussed in the new series.
